Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has opined his views on Ramiz Raja not taking any salary as the PCB Chairman and went on to take a dig at him for making the sudden move. Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistan cricketer and an excellent commentator, has always provided the best suggestions for the growth of the Pakistan cricket setup.

In fact, his main goal is to improve the domestic set-up in Pakistan, which will indirectly help in finding a strong squad with the backups available. He recently took up the post of PCB Chairman, and there have been a lot of changes in the Pakistan management after his arrival. Mohammad Amir retired from international cricket after having some issues with the PCB board, but he has now come out of retirement after the change in PCB Chairman.

Mohammad Amir, after hearing that PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has decided to take a salary for his posting, had tweeted that Ramiz Raja’s posting is not something that depends on salary, and there are a lot more benefits than salary. He added that he is still not sure about the statement he had tweeted, but admitted that this is what he has been told.

“To the extent I know, PCB Chairman is not paid a monthly salary but gets a lot of benefits. I may be wrong, but this is what I have heard,” Mohammad Amir tweeted.

“You Need To Play An Innings For The Honor” –  Ramiz Raja

In his address to club presidents, Ramiz Raja mentioned that he doesn’t need the salary of a PCB Chairman and noted that he will serve for the next three years without taking it. He added that he feels the PCB chairman is an honorable position, and it should be the number one priority.

“I have come to this cricket board without any salary. I won’t get a single penny for the next three years. I have sacrificed my ongoing career to take up this post. The car that I own is a 2008 model one. I don’t regret the fact that I don’t own a big house or a fancy car or money. Many a time, you need to play an innings for the honor,” told on his address.
