International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Men’s Player Of The Month. There were a lot of contenders for the winner as there was riveting action in the Month of September. There was a good contest between bat and ball even when the pitches were batting-friendly.

Indian Cricket Team overcame the disappointment of Asia Cup 2022 and then handed defeats to Australia & South Africa. On the other side, Pakistan had a topsy-turvy home series against England where they had a disappointing end.  There were a lot of contenders for the player of the month award in the form of Axar Patel, Mohammad Rizwan and Cameron Green, and a lot of others.

Mohammad Rizwan On Getting ICC Award

Mohammad Rizwan has been the pillar of the batting line-up of Pakistan in recent times. In the 10 games, he scored 7 fifties and was quite ruthless in his approach. He was quite happy after receiving the award.

I want to give my high appreciation to all my teammates as they made things easy for me. These achievements boost your confidence. I am happy with my performance and I would like to take this momentum forward in Australia,”  he said.

“I would like to dedicate this award to the people in Pakistan who are affected by the floods and climate change. Hopefully, this will bring smiles on their faces,” he added.

Mohammad Rizwan Unstoppable

The right-handed batter is someone who takes time before going berserk. His job in the team is to make sure that he sticks to the crease and plays a significant knock. Due to Babar Azam, the bowling teams don’t focus that much on Rizwan; but slowly the batter is proving to be a silent Assasin.

The Men in Green would be hoping that the middle order peaks at the right time. The team has shown that they are a dangerous and unpredictable unit. It would be interesting to see how the team fares in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 where the pitches would be quite testing.
