Team India pace bowler Mohammed Siraj suffered an injury after a collision with South Africa batter Tristan Stubbs on Day 1 (Saturday, November 22) of the second Test at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The right-arm pacer was down in pain, and the match was briefly interrupted in the second session.
India managed to strike twice on Day 1, taking a wicket just before Tea and another soon after the break. Jasprit Bumrah bowled Aiden Markram in the final over of the opening session, and Kuldeep Yadav removed Ryan Rickelton early in the second. However, Siraj hasn’t picked up any wickets so far in the innings.

On the first ball of the 51st over in South Africa’s first innings, Tristan Stubbs pushed a length ball from Mohammed Siraj towards mid-on and ran for a quick single. Stubbs tried to avoid Siraj’s follow-through, but his bat accidentally struck Siraj on the left knee.
Siraj limped a few steps before going down in visible pain. The physio rushed onto the field to treat him while Stubbs checked on the bowler and spoke briefly with the umpire. The game paused for a short time before Siraj received medical attention and recovered enough to continue.
