Monty Panesar Picks An Interesting Choice To Lead Chennai Super Kings After MS Dhoni

Former England spinner Monty Panesar has suggested an interesting choice to lead the CSK side after MS Dhoni leaves and it certainly will be a choice in the next season. With the mega auction coming up next year, CSK will have the option of only retaining three to four players, and MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja are almost likely to get the nod.

However, they will have overseas options open, and their choice is going to be a big decision. Ruturaj Gaikwad will also be an option as he has been very consistent at the top of the order for Chennai Super Kings and he will be a contender as a future captain. Monty Panesar was quite convinced that Moeen Ali can do the job for CSK as the next skipper.

Monty Panesar Heaps Praise On Moeen Ali

Monty Panesar was confident that the all-rounder Moeen Ali would be the most suitable to lead the Chennai Super Kings side after Dhoni as his performance has been phenomenal. He added that Moeen Ali has been playing the all-rounder role to perfection.

“Moeen Ali is the best man to replace Mahendra Singh Dhoni as captain once he (Dhoni) leaves. He will be a good captain. The way he performed in the IPL was outstanding. He has done really well in both roles – batsman and bowler. Moeen Ali will be a superb captain for Chennai Super Kings.” Monty Panesar told to TOI
