MS Dhoni Leads The Side As ICC Announces The Men's T20I Team Of The Decade

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the ICC Men’s T20I Team Of The Decade. The team boasts of a number of world-class superstars. The happy news for Indian fans, however, is that former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni leads the ICC Men’s T20I Team Of The Decade.

The ICC will announce the ICC Awards Of The Decade on Monday, December 28. The ICC Awards of the Decade show, comprised of members of the voting panel. Alan Wilkins will host the show and it will feature former international stars Shaun Pollock and Lisa Sthalekar. Senior journalist Sharda Ugra and Tim Cutler, founder of Emerging Cricket, will join them.

MS Dhoni Leads The ICC Men’s T20I Team Of The Decade

Rohit Sharma and Chris Gayle open the innings for the team of the decade. Australian skipper Aaron Finch is at number 3. Indian skipper Virat Kohli bats at number four in the team. At number 5 and number 6 are the two great T20I players, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell.

MS Dhoni leads the side with him being in the team at number 7. He is also the wicketkeeper of the side. Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard comes into bat at number 8 in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Of The Decade. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan takes the number 9 spot followed by yorker kings, Jasprit Bumrah and Lasith Malinga on the 10th and 11th spot.

MS Dhoni Has Been The Finest Captain In Indian Cricket

MS Dhoni has been among the finest captains in the history of Indian cricket. As a captain, he won the first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup back in 2007. In 2011, he went on to win the ICC Cricket World Cup held in India. In 2013, MS Dhoni went on to win the ICC Champions Trophy. He became the first captain in world cricket to win all the ICC trophies.

The former Indian skipper announced his international retirement on Independence Day this year. He took to Instagram to announce his retirement. MS Dhoni has however continued to play in the IPL and will do so in the coming years.
