Former India National Cricket Team player MS Dhoni has taken the avatar of Santa Claus and has taken the internet by storm. The Chennai Super Kings keeper-batter was seen celebrating Christmas with his family on Wednesday (25th December).

Dhoni, after retiring from international cricket in 2020, has got a lot of time to spend with his family. The former India National Cricket Team skipper often has been seen celebrating occasions with his family as his viral pictures have set the internet ablaze.

The same thing unfolded on Christmas day as MS Dhoni turned into Santa Claus during a party. The Chennai Super Kings batter was seen having a wholesome moment with his wife and his daughter Ziva as the family celebrated the festival in a grand way.

In the pictures shared by Sakshi Dhoni on her Instagram account, MS Dhoni can be seen giving a warm hug to his daughter and sharing presents with her. The family was dressed in classic Christmas red and white as the pictures went viral on social media.

Sakshi shared five images, but what was the best among those was the last one in which Dhoni is seen embracing his daughter, Ziva, with a warm and loving hug. Also, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon shared a pic with 'Santa' Dhoni on her Instagram.

MS Dhoni will return to the cricket field during the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL)

While Dhoni is enjoying his time with the family, the time to see him in action is slowly getting over. The keeper-batter will return to the cricket field during the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which will be played in March, April, and May next year as he will be donning CSK attire yet again.

Dhoni made himself available to play in the IPL, and after that, he was retained by the Chennai Super Kings for INR 4 crore under the uncapped category. It's fair to say that the IPL 2025 will be the last time that the keeper-batter will be seen in action on the cricket field.

Dhoni has been a stalwart in the IPL as he is the main reason behind the success of Chennai Super Kings in the league. The keeper-batter is the best finisher to have played the game of cricket, as he has won many games single-handedly for his team while batting down the order.

On the captaincy front, MS Dhoni is the joint most successful captain in the history of the Indian Premier League. The keeper-batter has guided Chennai Super Kings to five IPL titles before stepping down as the leader of the team in 2023.

He handed over the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings to Ruturaj Gaikwad and will be playing under the leadership of a young batter this year as well.
