Mumbai Indians (MI) will be eyeing a third straight win when they face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 38th game of IPL 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 20).

Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 5 wickets in their last game to register their third win and second win in a row for the first time this season. With three wins from seven games, MI's chances of qualifying for the playoffs are hanging by a thread, and they need a strong display in the second half of the season to finish in the top four.

MI have also lost against CSK already this season and will be keen to avenge the loss. They have not defeated CSK since 2022 and will be desperate to end their winless run. As MI gears up for the game, we are taking a look at the Mumbai Indians' Playing 11.

Openers: Ryan Rickelton (wk), Rohit Sharma

Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma are set to be the openers in the Mumbai Indians' Playing 11 for the upcoming game. The onus will be on them to give their team a good start against CSK.

Rohit crossed the 20-run mark with the bat for the first time this season in the last game against SRH. The India captain scored 26 runs off 16 balls with the help of three sixes. His knock gave MI a quickfire start, and he will be eyeing a big score in the upcoming match.

Rickelton, on the other hand, scored 31 runs off 23 balls with the help of 5 fours. The wicketkeeper-batsman has got ample chances so far and will be keen to score big soon to justify the team management's faith in him.

Middle-order: Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner

Will Jacks impressed with both bat and ball in the last game. The England star picked up the crucial wickets of Ishan Kishan and Travis Head with his spin bowling while conceding only 14 runs in three overs.

With the bat, he scored 36 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes. Jacks was adjudged the Player of the Match for his all-round display, and he will look to impress again.

Suryakumar Yadav got the start once again, but he failed to capitalise on it. The India T20I captain scored 26 runs off 15 balls, and he will be looking to score big in the upcoming match.

In-form Tilak Varma scored an unbeaten 21 and remained till the end to ensure that MI crossed the finishing line comfortably. Naman Dhir did not have much to do with the bat as MI needed only 1 run to win when he came out to bat. He still managed to get out for a three ball duck.

Captain Hardik Pandya and Mitchell Santner are set to be the main all-rounders in the Mumbai Indians' Playing 11. Pandya picked up 1 wicket for 42 runs while Santner bowled just one over and conceded 8 runs. With the bat, Pandya played a fine cameo of 21 runs off just 9 balls.

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Karn Sharma

The Mumbai Indians' Playing 11 is set to have three pacers and one spinner. Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, and Jasprit Bumrah are set to be the three pacers, while Karn Sharma is expected to be the spinner. One of the bowlers is likely to make way for Rohit Sharma in the MI Playing 11 during the batting innings.
