Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the reverse fixture of IPL 2024. This is their 12th match of the season with just three wins. The team is practically out of the tournament with 8 losses but mathematically still alive in the playoffs race.
MI lost to KKR in the previous game after 12 long years at the Wankhede stadium. They failed to chase 170 as they were bowled out for 145 giving KKR a crucial win by 24 runs.
Nothing has worked out for the team comprehensively as a whole. The previous game was a very evident example of the same fact. None of the batters were handle the pressure of the chase succumbing to the pressure of the chase.
The wicket was a very different one on which the game was played. The conditions at the venue came back to bite MI hard. It will be interesting to see what conditions will be on offer for the next match.
Talking about the possible playing XI, The franchise might now just think about giving the fringe players a few chances in the remaining games as qualifying for this position is almost impossible.

Mohammad Nabi
MI should go back to playing Nabi instead of the young Indian batters Nehal Wadhera or Naman Dhir. Nabi is an experienced lower-order batter and can also give the team a few overs with the ball.
Gerald Coetzee
The South African pacer will slot in at eight. He scored 8 off seven balls in the match against KKR and bowled just two overs for 24 runs. He has taken 13 wickets this season so far.
