Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the reverse fixture of IPL 2024This is their 12th match of the season with just three wins. The team is practically out of the tournament with 8 losses but mathematically still alive in the playoffs race.

MI lost to KKR in the previous game after 12 long years at the Wankhede stadium. They failed to chase 170 as they were bowled out for 145 giving KKR a crucial win by 24 runs.

Nothing has worked out for the team comprehensively as a whole. The previous game was a very evident example of the same fact. None of the batters were handle the pressure of the chase succumbing to the pressure of the chase.

The wicket was a very different one on which the game was played. The conditions at the venue came back to bite MI hard. It will be interesting to see what conditions will be on offer for the next match.

Talking about the possible playing XI, The franchise might now just think about giving the fringe players a few chances in the remaining games as qualifying for this position is almost impossible.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma will open the batting for MI. He was used as an impact sub in the match against KKR as he had some back issues. The Indian skipper scored just 12 runs against KKR. He has scored 320 runs this season so far.

Ishan Kishan (WK)

Ishan Kishan will open the meeting with Rohit. Overall, they have added good stars for MI throughout the season. However, against KKR, they failed to do soKishan was dismissed by Mitchell Starc.

Tilak Varma

The southpaw should bat at threeIn the previous match against KKR, he batted at four and scored just four. He has scored 347 runs this season, the most by an MI batter.

Suryakumar Yadav

SKY will slot in at fourHe scored 54 in the match against KKR but that came in a losing cause. Yadav has shown some good form with the bat heading into the T20 World Cup. He has scored 323 runs in 8 games this season so far.

Hardik Pandya (C)

Hardik should ideally bat at fiveHe has been batting way low on the order which is why he was criticised by the experts. He has had a tough time this season as a skipper and as an all-rounder.

Tim David

David should bat at six. He scored 24 off 20 balls against KKR and added a 49-run stand with SKY to keep his team in the game. He is yet to score a fifty in the IPL.

Mohammad Nabi

MI should go back to playing Nabi instead of the young Indian batters Nehal Wadhera or Naman Dhir. Nabi is an experienced lower-order batter and can also give the team a few overs with the ball.

Gerald Coetzee

The South African pacer will slot in at eight. He scored 8 off seven balls in the match against KKR and bowled just two overs for 24 runs. He has taken 13 wickets this season so far.

Piyush Chawla

Chawla will slot in at nine. he picked 1/15 in the game against KKR and is now on 184 IPL wickets having gone past the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Amit Mishra.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah picked up 2 wickets against KKR and took his tally to 17 wickets this season. He has not been backed up as expected by the rest of the bowlers. The IPL season has been good for his fitness as well.

Nuwan Thusara

Thusara concludes the likey MI playing XI against SRH. He took three wickets against KKR. This looks like the best XI for Mumbai Indians which can challenge SRH in Hyderabad.

Impact Sub: Nehal Wadhera / Shreyas Gopal

Depending on the toss and the opposition and whether batting or bowling first, MI can use Nehal Wadhera or the spin of Shreyas Gopal as the Impact Sub-option.
