Namibia Confirm Berth For ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Namibia defeated Tanzania to confirm their ticket for the T20 World Cup 2024 to be played in the USA and West Indies. England are the defending champions of the tournament having won the title last year.
Namibia defeated fellow African nation Tanzania by 58 runs to confirm their T20 World Cup spot. In the process, they have won five games on the trot and are currently topping the points table with 10 points, Their massive win also guarantees them a top-two finish required to qualify for the showpiece event next year.
The T20 World Cup will see 20 teams participating in the tournament. 12 teams have been guaranteed a spot in the tournament with Namibia being the latest to join the list. West Indies and the USA being the hosts have automatically qualified for the tournament.
The top 8 teams followed by Afghanistan and Bangladesh have also guaranteed themselves a spot. The fight for the remaining spot is still on, with Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria still alive in the contest. The nation has qualified for the third time in a row for the T20 World Cups. They qualified in 2021, 2022, and now in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Namibia Maintain Unbeaten Run To Qualify For T20 World Cup 2024
Namibia defeated Zimbabwe by seven wickets in their first game of the qualifiers. They then beat Uganda by six wickets and got a win over Rwanda by the DLS method by 68 runs. In their fourth match they beat Kenya by six wickets and in their final match they beat Tanzania by 58 runs.
The top two teams in each of the groups will move to a Super Eight phase, where the remaining teams will be split into two groups of four. This is the ninth edition of the T20 World Cup with West Indies winning the title thrice and England twice. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Australia have won the title once each.
