Nat Sciver-Brunt leapfrogs Marizanne Kapp to become World No.1 ODI all-rounder in ICC rankings

England Women's National Cricket Team all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt has become the new No.1 ranked all-rounder in the ICC One Day International All-Rounder rankings. She pipped South Africa's Marizanne Kapp to take the top spot in the update rankings on Tuesday (9th July).

Nat Sciver-Brunt took the top spot after her sensational performance in the third ODI against the New Zealand Women's National Cricket Team, which took place in Bristol. The all-rounder was at the top of the rankings before Marizanne Kapp overtook her in September last year.

Nat Sciver-Brunt, who won the ICC Women's Cricketer of the Year last year, is also the No.1 ranked ODI batter. She since the past few months has been exceptional with the bat and is scoring runs consistently for the team. England Women's National Cricket Team would be hoping for her to carry her good form.

Apart from her, Charlie Dean climbed the to 7th spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings. She now shares the spot with Hayley Matthews. England bowler Lauren Bell after her figures of 5/37 made huge gains and jumped 22 places to 24th in the bowling rankings.

England bowler Sophie Ecclestone is at the top of the ICC ODI rankings for bowlers with 794 ratings while Kate Cross holds second spot with 686 rating points. The former also holds the top spot in the T20I bowling rankings and is followed by teammate Sarah Glenn, who is second on the rankings.

Sarah Glenn returned with the figures of 3/16 (4) in Southampton and surpassed India's Deepti Sharma (751) to claim the second spot in the rankings. She also moved two spots to 17th on the T20I All-Rounder rankings (162), behind teammate Charlie Dean (165).

South Africa's Tazmin Brits make substantial gains in ICC T20I rankings for the women batters

In terms of ICC T20I rankings for the women batters, South Africa's Tazmin Brits made substantial gains. She moved up four places to sixth spot in the rankings. The batter made the gains after her performances in the series against India. She slammed back-to-back fifties in Chennai against India.

Tazmin Brits played a vital innings for her team in the first T20I as she slammed 81 runs off 56 balls. She won the Player of the Match in the first game as South Africa National Cricket Team won the game by 12 runs.

She made sure that she continued her fine form in the second game as she slammed 52 runs off 39 in what was the washed-out match.
