Navjot Singh Sidhu takes a dig at Mohmmad Amir: The India vs Pakistan row has been never-ending, especially in the World Cups. India has extended their lead to 8-1 in the T20 World Cup editions. The recent victory came last Sunday, as the Men in Green were handed a humiliating defeat by 61-run. Salman Ali Agha’s side had no answer to Ishan Kishan’s batting and India’s bowling attack.

A fresh new controversy has arrived this time off the field. Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir, on a talk show named Hasna Mana Hain, was asked to predict the semi-finalists for the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup. He predicted that co-host India will not qualify for the last four of the tournament. In reply to that, former India opener Navjot Singh Sidhu has given a befitting reply.

'No one in the world can stop the victory of the Indian team'- Navjot Singh Sidhu

Navjot Singh Sidhu, while sharing a reel on his Instagram, said, "A camel can come out of a hole, but no one in the world can stop the victory of the Indian team. India will be the world champion in 2026. They have won 90% in the last two years. They haven’t lost a single series."

Navjot Singh Sidhu further added, "In South Africa, in Sri Lanka, and against Australia, they have dominated so much that it looks like an elephant grazing among a flock of ants. There is no need to give proof of this team’s strength."

Navjot Singh Sidhu finally concluded, saying, "Their performance itself is sharp evidence whether it is the moon or the stars, everything shines bright. And my friend, I will not even tell you India’s record against Pakistan. You will feel ashamed."

India yet to lose a match since 2023

India has lost just one match in 27 games in the last four ICC tournaments since 2023. The last match they lost was the final against Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final. Since then, they have yet to lose a single match in the white-ball tournaments. This showcases their strength in the white-ball format of the game.

India is also on a winning streak of 12 games in the T20 World Cups. Suryakumar Yadav’s side has been playing a fearless brand of cricket, and with the kind of flair this side has, it is the reason they are the No.1-ranked team in the T20I format.

Will South Africa end India's 17-match winning streak?

Surya’s side after beating Pakistan created a record of 16th back-to-back victory in ICC white-ball tournaments - the longest streak by any team in history. Before India, Australia held the record for most consecutive wins (15) between the Champions Trophy 2006 and the ODI World Cup 2007. The tally has now gone to 17 after beating the Dutch.

The Men in Blue side will be up against South Africa in the Super 8 stages of the game. The two finalists from the previous edition of the T20 World Cup will meet for the first time in this edition. They are unbeaten till this point in the World Cup; however, one team’s record will be broken tonight at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
