Netherlands and West Indies face-off for one last time in the series in the third and final ODI on June 4 at the VRA Cricket Ground, Amstelveen. Windies have already won the first two ODIs and bagged the series. They would like to complete a whitewash over the minnows.

The Netherlands will be led by Peter Seelar while the West Indies will be led by Nicholas Pooran after the retirement of Kieron Pollard. Heading into the series, West Indies are placed ninth in the ICC ODI rankings while the Netherlands are on the 14th.

For West Indies who have tougher games to play later this year, this series was a good chance for players to get back into form. Several of their bowlers used this opportunity while Brandon King used his opportunity with the bat in the last game. He scored an unbeaten 91 to take his team home and ensure that they win the series.

For the hosts, this is a chance to salvage some pride. They have been thoroughly outplayed in the first two games and need to bounce back strong. Injuries to their key players have weakened their overall side. It is their top order who scored the runs in the second game and they need to do it again in the final game.

The NED vs WI third ODI will start at 11 am local time in Amstelveen. The weather condition for the match day does not seem cricket-friendly. There will be intervals of sunshine and clouds in between the game. Cloud cover is expected to be over 50 per cent at the venue.

Previously, 24 matches have been played at this venue. Historically this is a low-scoring venue with the average first innings being 229. It comes down to 194 in the second innings. Teams batting first clearly have an advantage over the team chasing at this venue.
