Kathmandu Knights vs Far West United match preview: The fifth match of the ongoing Nepal T20 League will see Kathmandu Knights locking horns against Far West United. Both the teams are entering the game on the back of contrasting fortunes.
While Knights will be coming into this game on the back of a win in their first game of the tournament, Far West United suffered a big loss in their tournament-opener. As of now, the Knights are at the second spot in the points table while the United are languishing at the bottom of the points table in the six-team competition.
With momentum on their side, the Kathmandu-based outfit will be looking to extend their winning start in Nepal T20 League and register another crucial win. United, on the other hand, will be desperate to move on from their defeat in the previous game and open their campaign.

Kathmandu Knights:
Kathmandu Knights began their campaign with a win over Pokhara Avengers in the very first game of the Nepal T20 League. The Knights thoroughly dominated the proceedings and won the match that was reduced to 19-over per side.
Asked to bat first, they scored 162 for 5 in the allotted 19 overs. Azmatullah Omarzai top-scored for them. Omarzai slammed an unbeaten 85 off 42 balls with the help of 3 fours and 7 sixes. For the Avengers, Pratis GC and Zahir Khan picked up 2 wickets apiece.
The Knights bowlers then came up with a fine show too. They never let the Avengers take charge of the chase and eventually restricted them to 136 for 7. Abinash Bohara picked up 3 wickets while Basir Ahamad claimed 2.
The Knights will be high on confidence after their performance against Avengers and will be looking to put up another such show against United.

Far West United:
As far as Far West United are concerned, they had a disastrous opening to their campaign in the Nepal T20 League. Just nothing went right for them in their first game of the competition as they suffered a crushing 67-run defeat at the hands of Lumbini All Stars.
The All Stars posted 152 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs after deciding to bat first. Sri Lanka opener Lahiru Milantha’s 60 was the top score from the All Stars side. For United, Karan KC and Umair Ali picked up 3 wickets apiece.

In reply, United came up with a disastrous batting display and were all out for just 85. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi was the only player who managed to cross the 15-run mark while only one other player managed to breach the double-digit mark during the disastrous display.
United will be desperate to forget the defeat against the All Stars and get their campaign on the right track with a much-needed win in the upcoming game.
