Fans on Twitter reacted after India batter Rajat Patidar bagged a 10-ball duck in the ongoing second innings of the third Test against England. The third match of the five-match Test series between the teams is taking place at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot.

Rajat Patidar hasn’t been able to mark in the opportunities that he has got so far in the ongoing Test series. It was expected that he would set the stage on fire with the bat in the ongoing second innings. But it turned out to be a torrid outing for him in the series.

Rajat Patidar came to bat after Yashasvi Jaiswal got retired hurt. With just a few overs remaining for the end of the day, it was expected that the batter would remain unbeaten. But it wasn’t the case as he bagged a 10-ball duck and India lost their second wicket just ahead of stumps.

Rajat Patidar perished in the 48th over and bagged another soft dismissal. Tom Hartley bowled a delivery outside off. The batter tried to play a short-arm jab to mid-wicket and gave a staggering catch to Rehan Ahmed, who was stationed there and picked an easy catch.

Rajat Patidar made his debut for India in the second Test in Hyderabad. The batter played a decent knock of 32 runs in the first innings and then managed just 9 runs in the second innings. It was expected that he would come up with better performances in the Rajkot Test.

But the batter has failed in both the innings. Rajat Patidar scored just 5 runs in 15 balls and then followed it up with a 9-ball duck. With KL Rahul all set to return to the team for the fourth Test, it won’t be a surprise now if he gets dropped. He failed to grab the opportunities in both games.
