4. Shubman Gill
Shubman Gill is another Indian player who grabbed a lot of limelight in 2023. The right-handed batsman finished as the leading run-getter in 2023. He smacked 1584 runs across 29 matches averaging 63+.

Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was another impressive bowler in 2023. In 21 games, he hunted 43 scalps at an average of 22.04 and an economy of 4.85. Nepal was one of the teams in Asia Cup 2023 and Lamichhane played an important role in the team’s qualification for the first time. He is another player who can win the ODI Player of the Year award.
