Durban Super Giants (DSG) batter Heinrich Klaasen yet again proved his class in the shortest format of the game. He played a blinder in the SA20 2024 Qualifier against Johannesburg Super Kings and helped his team get into a dominating position.
Heinrich Klaasen oozed his class and changed the course of the game in no time. He came to bat when Durban Super Giants (DSG) lost three wickets and then were reeling at 95/4. It was then that he changed the complexion of the game with his sensational innings.

Klaasen is the BOSS – Kevin Pietersen
Heinrich Klaasen’s magnificent innings left Kevin Pietersen in awe. The former England cricketer was called the keeper-batter boss of T20 cricket, hailing him as the best in the world. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:
“There isn’t a better batter in T20 cricket in the world! Klaasen is the BOSS!”
😂😂😂😂. There isn’t a better batter in T20 cricket in the world! Klaasen is the BOSS!
Heinrich Klaasen opened up about his innings and said that he had to be patient in his innings. He said that he had belief in himself and knew once he hit a few strikes, he would be in. The batter also talked about his battle with Imran Tahir. He elaborated:
“Nerves are fine. The wicket was tough. They bowled exteremly well and I Had to be really, really patient. I thought I picked the right bowler (Tahir) to get the innings started again. I knew one or two strikes away and my strike-rate will improve and that came from experience.
“I knew Tahir was going to bowl on the fuller side. If you bowl the right length there is something in it. Hopefully this is enough tonight. The catching (from the crowd) has been poor whole tournament. Very happy that someone took it tonight.”
Apart from Heinrich Klaasen, Wiaan Mulder was the main hero for the Durban Super Giants. After the keeper-batter got out, the all-rounder took the fort and made sure that his team cashed on the start they got and ended up with a big total on board.
Wiaan Mulder played a blistering innings with the bat and slammed a brutal half-century. He slammed 50 runs in just 23 balls that kept the momentum in DSG’s favor in the last few overs. He batted with a strike rate of over 217 and also slammed 3 fours and 3 sixes in his innings.
