Mushfiqur Rahim???s batting in the ongoing World Cup game between New Zealand and Bangladesh was exceptional, making it necessary for the Black Caps bowlers to deliver something special to dismiss him. And that moment of brilliance came from Matt Henry.

Bowling first, New Zealand began well at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. On the very first ball of the match, Trent Boult dismissed the dangerous Litton Das. Tanzid Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 40 runs for the second wicket before Lockie Ferguson dismissed both of them in quick succession to reduce Bangladesh to 56 for 3.

And even before the Bangla Tigers could add a run to their total after losing the third wicket, Glenn Phillips joined the party too. The part-time spinner dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto for just 7 to leave Bangladesh reeling at 56 for 4 in the 13th over.

Matt Henry dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim:

After the early breakthroughs, two of Bangladesh???s greatest cricketers ??? Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim joined hands to bail the team out of trouble. The current and the former captains mixed caution with aggression during their crucial partnership before both of them departed in quick succession.

The duo added 96 runs for the 5th wicket. Ferguson broke the stand when he dismissed Shakib for 40. Unlike Shakib, Mushfiqur Rahim made the most of his start and completed his fifty but failed to convert it into a century. 23 runs after Shakib???s departure, Matt Henry ended Mushfiqur Rahim???s stay at the crease with a beauty.

The right-arm pacer outfoxed the Bangladesh veteran with a slower off-cutter bowled on the off stump. The ball stayed quiet low and completely surprised Mushfiqur who was getting ready for a pull shot. The right-handed batsman departed after scoring 66 off 75 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Talking of the game, Bangladesh were on 184 for 7 in the 39th over at the time of writing this report. They will be desperate to post a good total and get back to winning ways after losing their last game against Bangladesh. New Zealand, on the other hand, have won their first two games and will be keen to extend their winning start.
