Ishan Kishan’s brother Raj Kishan told that Ishan had expressed his emotions on the phone after the maiden Indian call-up and added that they couldn’t talk normally for 4 hours. The Jharkhand captain had scored a blistering 173 off just 94 balls in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy and the same day, he received his maiden Indian team call-up. The Patna-born cricketer was the highest run-scorer for Mumbai Indians in the previous IPL edition.

Ishan Kishan scored 516 runs in 14 matches in the previous edition and became the mainstay for the Mumbai team in the batting order. He was surrounded by huge names like Rohit Sharma, Quinton De Kock, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah in the dressing room and his batting partner Suryakumar Yadav had also earned his place in the Indian squad for the 5 match T20 series against England.

The Emotions Were So High – Raj Kishan
