PAK vs AUS: WATCH- Shaheen Afridi Shocked As Abdullah Shafique Drops David Warner's Catch At Slips

Abdullah Shafique dropped an easy catch of David Warner during the ongoing PAK vs AUS 2nd Test at Melbourne Cricket Stadium. David Warner nicked a ball in the 3rd over of Shaheen Afridi which went straight to Abdullah Shafique at first slip.
However, Abdullah Shafique could not grab an easy catch to provide a huge relief to the Australian opener. PAK vs AUS 2nd Test commenced in Melbourne on Tuesday, December 26. Pat Cummins is the skipper of Australia while Shan Masood is the captain of Pakistan. Australia leads the series 1-0 after winning the opening game.

WATCH- Abdullah Shafique Drops David Warner’s Easy Catch
Pakistan was about to get a big breakthrough at the start of the match. In Shaheen Afridi’s 3rd over, David Warner got an edge that went straight to Abdullah Shafique at first slip. However, the left-handed batsman failed to collect the ball. Shaheen Afridi was shocked to witness the dropped catch. Have a look at the video below.

Notably, David Warner had scored just 2 runs off 11 balls at the moment. Later, David Warner went on to score 38 runs off 83 balls. He was later dismissed by Agha Salman. Warner and Usman Khawaja managed to put up a strong opening stand of 90 runs.

Pakistan Opted To Bowl In 2nd Test
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss in PAK vs AUS 2nd Test and opted to bowl first. The match was affected by rain in the 1st session. Till the rain, Australia reached 114/2 in 42.4 overs. They lost David Warner (38) and Usman Khawaja (42).
The latter was dismissed by Hasan Ali. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith take the strike with unbeaten 14 and 2 runs respectively. Meanwhile, Pakistan pacer Khurram Shahzad was ruled out of the series due to an injury.
Hasan Ali replaced him in the PAK vs AUS 2nd Test. Mir Hamza was also inducted into the playing 11 to replace Faheem Ashraf in the match. Mohammad Rizwan replaced Sarfaraz Ahmed as the wicketkeeper. The rest of the team was the same as that of the 1st Test.

Pakistan Lost 1st Test By 360 Runs
Earlier, Pakistan lost the opening Test by 360 runs. Australia piled up 487-10 in the match in 1st innings. Later, they bowled out Pakistan for 271, taking a huge lead after the end of 1st innings.
Later, Australia declared their innings at 233/5, setting up a mammoth total of 450 for Pakistan. The visitors succumbed to such a gigantic target and were bowled out for 89. Mitchell Marsh won the player of the match award for his half-centuries across both innings.
