Travis Head didn’t have a great outing with the bat in the first innings of the ongoing game. He scored just 17 runs as he was removed by Shaheen Afridi. But despite him having a poor outing with the bat, Australia had a great outing with the bat.
David Warner (38) and Usman Khawaja (42) added 90 runs for the opening partnership. After that, Marnus Labuschagne (63) batted well and slammed a vital half-century that powered Australia to a total of over 300 runs.

Pakistan in response had a great start as Abdullah Shafique (62) and skipper Shan Masood (54) slammed vital half-centuries and at one stage they put pressure on the home side. But after that skipper Pat Cummins brought his team back into the game and Pakistan were left tottering at 170/6.
Mohammad Rizwan (26*) then tried to keep his side in the hunt and was unbeaten at stumps on Day 2. Pakistan ended the second day on 194/6 and is still 124 runs behind. Australia would be hoping to take the remaining 4 wickets in quick succession of time and then post a big total to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the series.
