PAK vs ENG: "I Do Not Think I Have Seen A Better Week Of Captaincy"- Nasser Hussain On Ben Stokes

England Cricket Team registered a terrific win against mighty Pakistan in the 1st ODI. England won the match by 74 runs, the entire team showed great fighting spirit as there was not much assistance from the pitch. The skipper Ben Stokes used all the tricks in his book and his field placings were quite attacking.
Pakistan should have applied an aggressive approach rather than getting into a shell. There were high hopes from Azhar Ali but the batter couldn’t take the team over the finish line as the batter scored 40 runs in 81 balls. The peculiarity of England’s bowling line up was that they didn’t give ample room to the batters.

Nasser Hussain On Ben Stokes
Nasser Hussain was having an interaction with Sky Sports and was asked about Ben Stokes‘ captaincy. “I do not think I’ve seen a better week of captaincy than what we’ve just seen from that man. They had to get everything right to go 1-0 up and they did.” said Nasser Hussain.

“It was fitting it was [Jack] Leach with the last wicket, because Stokes has backed Leach all the way through since he took over as captain. [With] Brendon McCullum as well off the field, he has changed the culture and the mindset of this England side. Since they took over, eight matches, seven wins, one loss: the Stokes and McCullum era is changing the face of Test-match cricket.” he added.
Tough Loss for Pakistan
The Skipper Babar Azam would be utterly disappointed with the batters and with himself. He was dismissed on the 4th day in the evening session which proved to be a turning point. We should not forget that Saud Shakeel played a fine knock of 76 runs in 159 balls where he showed great application against a quality bowling lineup.

Pakistan quickly need to regroup as the next Test Match is scheduled on 09th December (Friday). There are now clouds over Haris Rauf as the pacer has a right quad injury and is unlikely to play 2nd Test Match. The Men in Green perhaps should promote Rizwan up the order as he knows how to rotate the strike.
