England Cricket Team completely outplayed Pakistan in the 3rd Test Match and won the Series by 3-0. The visitors would be mightily pleased as defeating Pakistan in Pakistan is never easy. Skipper Ben Stokes displayed great leadership skills as his field placings were spot on where he made Pakistani batters work hard for every run.

The Men in Green would rue the fact that they were not able to win crunch moments of the Series. Skipper Babar Azam would be utterly disappointed with the batters. The hosts now are virtually out of the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final race as they are placed at 7th position with a percentile of 38.89.

Ben Stokes on Rehan Ahmed

Ben Stokes was having an interaction with Sky Sports and was asked about Rehan Ahmed.

“One thing I got impressed from him that more he got into the game, the more confident he felt about himself and talked about field placings. Leg spinners are a gem to have that can change the game and we saw that spell in the yesterday afternoon when he came in and bowled us to victory and so for the 18-year-old kid to have,  the ability he does have and in my opinion is exciting. We got a glimpse of him last night at No.3,” said Ben Stokes.

Concerns for Pakistan

There are chances that PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja would be removed from his post and subsequently there may be a change in leadership & coaching staff. The Men in Green got a reality check and it won’t be wrong to say that the team lacked intent & character.

Head Coach Brendon McCullum would be over the moon as not many gave them a chance to succeed in subcontinental conditions. We should not forget that the entire team performed. Harry Brook filled the shoes of Jonny Bairstow (*who was injured) by smashing 3 tons in the Test Series and showed a lot of promise.
