Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif claims that several former national team players have a problem with Babar Azam and the power he holds in cricket within the country.
Azam has faced criticism for several aspects of his game and captaincy ever since he was given the reigns of the Pakistan National Cricket Team. Rashid believes that such criticisms might not be in good faith.

Latif recently told this to a local media house –
IPL 2023 | India National Cricket Team | Chennai Super Kings (CSK) | Delhi Capitals (DC) | Gujarat Titans (GT) | Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) | Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) | Mumbai Indians (MI) | Punjab Kings (PBKS) | Rajasthan Royals (RR) | Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) | SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH)
“I believe the issue at hand is not Babar Azam’s captaincy, but rather his power. There seems to be an issue between Babar and some former superstar cricketers in Pakistan, who have resorted to involving their own associates with the board to strip him of his captaincy.”
Rashid Latif has also backed Babar Azam, praising the ICC no.1 ODI batter. He says that despite his batting and wins as captain, some individuals will always find flaws in him.
“The individuals attempting to oust Babar from captaincy must desist, for he is simply unremovable. His exquisite technique, judicious shot selection, and impeccable balance on the pitch has ensured that,” he said.

New Zealand are touring the Asian nation for a 5-match T20I and a 5-match ODI series. Pakistan are currently 2-0 up in the T20 series.
After a comprehensive 88-run victory in the 1st match, with bowlers to credit for bowling out the opposition for 94, the second match belonged to the Pakistani batters, especially Babar Azam with his unbeaten 101-off-58.
