PAK vs NZ: "New Zealand Would Prefer Balanced Approach Over Bazball In Test Cricket"- Tim Southee

New Zealand Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against Pakistan for the 1st Test Match starting on 26th December. Last time in 2021, New Zealand had abandoned the tour in the middle. The Men in Green still has an outside chance of making it to the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final.
Kane Williamson has given up his Test captaincy and now Tim Southee is the new leader of the team. It was quite surprising that New Zealand named Southee as the skipper as earlier Tom Latham used to lead the side in the absence of Kane Williamson.

Tim Southee On Bazball
Tim Southee was having an interaction with media and was asked whether New Zealand will apply fearless approach. “Not Bazball .I think you look at the players you’ve got and you try to make what you’ve got work. England seem to be doing that with the style they’re playing, but we’ve had some success in Test cricket doing it our way. The way that our Test game has gone the last 10 years, it’s just trying to continue that and trying to stay with the times,” said Tim Southee.
Poor Performance by New Zealand
The Defending Champions of WTC had a forgettable 2021-23 Cycle where they won only 2 matches out of 9. The Black Caps have looked a bit off-colour. With Trent Boult missing the Test Series due to Big Bash League commitments, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) will have to find like-for-like replacements.
Tim Southee has been quite magnificent as he has taken 347 Test wickets in 88 matches. The speedster has the knack of picking wickets at regular intervals. It would be interesting to see what approach New Zealand will apply against Pakistan as pitches in Pakistan would be quite testing.
