PAK vs NZ: "There's No Point Crying Now" - Yasir Shah In Response To Ramiz Raja's Harsh Attack On New PCB Chief Najam Sethi

The recent shift in leadership has prompted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to undergo a restructuring process. Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistan cricketer, was fired by the government from his position as PCB chairman, and Najam Sethi was appointed in his place.

Days before the development, Pakistan had lost the home Test series against England 0-3.

Raja, who was terminated from his position much before his contract got over, has expressed his thoughts on the sudden sacking, during which he vehemently slammed the new PCB chief. In an hour-long interaction with fans, the video of which is available on YouTube titled “Fan Forum With Ramiz Raja”.

Raja also reveals the ill-treatment he faced the morning after the decision was announced, stating he was not allowed to take his clothes, and the atmosphere felt as if FIA had raided the building.

Yasir Shah believes Ramiz Raja is to be blamed for his downfall:

Former Pakistani cricketer Yasir Shah discussed the recent turn of events and offered his opinion, saying Raja is to blame for his demise. The bowler pointed out Raja’s flaw and told him to quit moaning about it.

“There were so many conflicts. He should have acted like a leader given his position. Instead, he was battling the media, and cricketers, and getting involved in selection and pitches. Instead of getting interested in trivial problems, he should manage them,” Yasir Shah said.

“You say a cricketer should not be subjected to such mistreatment, but what was he doing for the one and a half years he held the position? Why didn’t he make it a rule that no political meddling would be tolerated? “There’s no point in crying now,” Yasir stated in an interview with Samaa TV.

Imran Khan, the former prime minister and the captain of Pakistan’s World Cup-winning team, selected Raja as PCB chairman in September 2021. Raja held the position for 15 months.
