Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the schedule for the upcoming three-match One Day International (ODI) series between the Pakistan National Cricket Team and the West Indies National Cricket Team.

The Pakistan-West Indies One Day International series is a part of the West Indies tour of Pakistan 2021 and it was set to be played in December 2021 along with three-match T20 International series.

However, the teams were only able to play the three-match T20 International series in 2021 and the remainder of the One Day International (ODI) series was forced to get postponed after the Covid-19 virus had entered the West Indies National Cricket Team camp and as many as 5 players from the Caribbean team were tested positive for the Covid-19.

After the Covid-19 outbreak both Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket West Indies mutually decided to postpone the series to avoid any further risk of Covid-19.

On Monday, March 28, PCB released an official statement confirming that the three-match ODI series between West Indies and Pakistan, which will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, will be played in Rawalpindi.

Rawalpindi will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League matches against the West Indies at the Pindi Cricket Stadium from 8-12 June, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced today, The West Indies will arrive in Islamabad on 5 June for the One-Day Internationals that will be played on 8, 10 and 12 June.”

“The ODIs were part of the West Indies’ tour of Pakistan in December 2021. However, with mutual consent, these were rescheduled after five Covid-19 cases were reported in the West Indies side. The West Indies have also agreed to play three T20Is in early 2023, schedule of which will be announced in due course,” Pakistan Cricket Board further stated.

Notably, Babar Azam and co. had won the three-match T20I series against the West Indies team at home in a dominant style by 3-0.

8 June – 1st ODI, Rawalpindi

10 June – 2nd ODI, Rawalpindi

12 June – 3rd ODI, Rawalpindi
