Pakistan National Cricket Team player Ahmed Shehzad lashed out at the Mohammad Rizwan-led side for their series loss against the second-string South Africa National Cricket Team. He said that cricket in Pakistan is dying, and everyone is sleeping from top to bottom.

Pakistan National Cricket Team, under the leader of Mohammed Rizwan, faced a disappointing loss in the second T20I against South Africa, which took place in Centurion. The visitors were at the receiving end of a 7-wicket loss, and this meant they also went on to lose the series as well.

Pakistan posted a total of 206 runs in the second T20I

Pakistan, who batted first, had a great outing with the bat. Opening batter Saim Ayub played a magical innings of unbeaten 98 runs while contributions from Babar Azam (31) and Irfan Khan (30) powered them to a total of 206 runs.

With the kind of bowling lineup Pakistan had and the fact that South Africa had second-string team, it was expected that visitors would defend the target. But that wasn't the case, as they looked clueless with the ball, with Proteas batters slamming bowlers all over the park.

South Africa chased the target with 7 wickets

Opening batter Reeza Hendricks played a magnificent innings and ended with a score of 117 runs. Along with him, Rassie van der Dussen was the star performer as he remained unbeaten at 66 runs took his team to the 7-wicket win, and sealed the series.

Pakistan faced an 11-run loss in the first match as well, and this marked yet another series loss for them. Before this, they also went on to lose the T20I series against the second-string Australia National Cricket Team and faced a lot of criticism for their poor outing with the bat and ball.

Pakistan cricket is dying every day & everyone is sleeping from top to bottom - Ahmed Shehzad

Ahmed Shehzad admitted that it was a good game to watch, but he raised concerns related to Pakistan Cricket. He pointed out that South Africa were without 7 main players and losing the series against them is a cause for concern. Taking to his Twitter account, he explained:

"To be honest, it was a good game to watch as a spectator… but it felt like South Africa A & Pakistan A sides were playing against each other with some players having the ability to fit in the senior side from both countries. If you know you know.

"Just a reminder 7 main players are absent from this South Africa side & we played with our full strength & we lost the series once again just like we lost against Australian kids in T20s few days ago. Pakistan cricket is dying everyday & everyone is sleeping from top to bottom. Shame."

With two losses in the two games, Pakistan National Cricket Team would be keen to make a comeback in the last game. The dead rubber third T20I between the teams will be played on Saturday (14th December) at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
