Pakistan National Cricket Team achieved an unwanted feat to their name after the 2-0 series win against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. They became only the second team in the history of Test cricket to lose a series at home against each of the oldest 10 Test-playing nations.

Pakistan joined Bangladesh on the unwanted list. This comes after their poor performances with the bat and ball in the two-match Test series against Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side. Both the games of the series were played at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Pakistan were not up to the mark with the bat and ball in the entire series. They had their moments in the game. What caught the attention of many was they were in a dominating position in both games and had a great opportunity to win. However, they failed to do that and went on to lose both games.

In the first match, they declared their innings after posting 448 runs on the board. However, they came up with a below-par bowling performance as Bangladesh went on to take a lead of over 100 runs.

If this was not enough, they then got all out for a low total, setting just a target of 30 runs, which the opposition chased by 10 wickets in hand.

It was expected that they would come up with a better performance in the second game. But the same story unfolded, they were asked to bat first and got all out for 274 runs.

However, with the ball, they had Bangladesh tottering at 26/6. But after that things didn't go their way as visitors made a strong with Litton Das (138) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (78) making vital contributions.

Pakistan displayed a poor performance with the bat as they got all out for 172 runs, setting the target of just 185 runs to chase. Bangladesh had a decent outing with the bat as batters contributed to help the team register the 6-wicket win and register their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan.

As a fast bowler, I was looking for wickets - Hasan Mahmud after Test series win over Pakistan

Hasan Mahmud played an instrumental role in Bangladesh National Cricket Team winning the second Test.

The fast bowler came up with his best in the second innings as he picked a fifer and helped his team bundle out the opposition for a low total.

Hasan Mahmud said that he was looking to take the wickets, and with the way they performed, they deserved to win the series. He talked about how he utilized the conditions, saying that it was a vital effort from the entire team. Speaking after the game, he explained:

"As a fast bowler, I was looking for wickets, and the boys, our effort [with the ball], we deserved it.

"You have to take advantage [of conditions] as fast bowlers, and you've got to keep working hard together, and especially in red-ball cricket, it's important to get the benefit from your fast bowlers as well as spinners, all together. It was a valiant effort."

Bangladesh will be next seen in action when they take on India National Cricket Team in the two-match Test series, starting 19th September.
