Pakistan will take on the West Indies in the second of the three-match T20I series. This article provides details about Pakistan's Playing 11 vs West Indies for the second match of the series.

Pakistan Playing 11 vs West Indies- 2nd T20I, Pakistan tour of West Indies 2025:

Openers: Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan

Pakistan would be happy with the way they performed in the first of the three matches in the ongoing T20I series and would want to replicate it in the upcoming game to register a much-needed series win.

The Men in Green ticked the majority of the boxes in all three departments of the game as two of the top three batters got the team off to a good start, which was carried on by the middle and lower middle order batters.

The momentum that the team gained while batting was carried forward in Pakistan's bowling innings as well, and the bowlers kept things tight throughout the second innings.

The visitors are expected to go into the second match with the same playing XI that played the first match, courtesy of a complete team effort, and will open the innings with Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan.

The duo has shown signs of aggression from the first ball as a partnership, but is yet to get the team off to a good start as a pair.

Having said that, both batters have had their moment of brilliance with the bat individually and would like to bring that form together as a partnership in the next game.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris (wk), Salman Agha (c), Hasan Nawaz, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf

The Men in Green would be relieved by seeing the performance of senior batter Fakhar Zaman in the first T20I against the West Indies. The left-hander played in his usual attacking manner while batting at number three.

Zaman formed a crucial partnership for the second wicket with Ayub and provided the much-needed impetus to Pakistan's innings in the middle overs, which the incoming batters capitalized on.

The team management would wish for the batters to deliver another solid performance come the second match.

The only thing that they would be wary of is the team's performance in the final five overs, which could have pushed the score to 185-190 in the first T20I.

Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Sufiyan Muqeem

Like the batting, the team's bowling also brought its A game to the fore in the first T20I and kept the pressure on the opposition batters by not letting them play with freedom throughout the chase.

It was a collective effort from the bowling department, which saw the return of Shaheen Afridi, who bowled economically and made things easy for the bowlers in the middle overs.

Afridi was well supported by Mohammad Nawaz, who was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers in the first match, with three wickets in his quota of four overs.

Nawaz's spin bowling partner Sufiyan Muqeen also gave away just 20 runs in his four overs and picked up a wicket.

The only cause of concern for the visitors heading into the second T20I is the form of Haris Rauf

The fast bowler was expensive in the first match as he gave away 41 runs in four overs and would look to have a much better outing in the second match.
