Yashasvi Jaiswal replaces Virat Kohli
It was a great moment for both the youngsters as they finally received their ODI caps. While Rana was expected to make his ODI debut soon, the move to include Jaiswal was surprising at the start.
Later, it became more clear that Virat Kohli's injury made the way for Jaiswal to come into the Playing XI. He is slotted to open the batting along side his captain Rohit Sharma.
With Jaiswal opening the batting, Shubman Gill will slot in the middle order. It is expected that Kohli's injury isn't serious and he will be back in the next match.
Jaiswal has a good List A record with over 1500 runs at an average of 54. The left-hander can stake a claim in India's Playing XI for Champions Trophy by making runs in this match.
