Pat Cummins, the Australia Test, and ODI captain, opened up about representing the national cricket team in the Los Angeles Olympics, which is scheduled to be played in 2028.

Pat Cummins highlighted that he wants to compete for the Australian national cricket team in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

“Watching the Olympics, it got us all excited. You want to be part of it right there in the middle. I’d love to be on that side (at LA28)," Cummins said.

The fast bowler is determined to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics despite the age factor. Cummins hoped to remain in contention for the event. Cummins acknowledged that excitement will build as the Games get closer.

“I think I’ll be 35 or something, so hopefully still there or thereabouts. Honestly, right now, it feels a long way away. Maybe once we get closer and start building into it, everyone gets a bit more excited,” the Australian fast bowler further added.

Pat Cummins is not the captain for Australia in T20Is. Cummins won ICC victories in the T20 World Cup (2021), ODI World Cup 2023, and World Test Championship 2023 for the Austra team. He recently captained SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) to the IPL 2024 final match, where his team finished as runners-up.
