PCB Appoints Grant Bradburn As Head Coach Of The Pakistan Men's Team For The Next Two Years

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed former New Zealand all-rounder Grant Bradburn as head coach of the men’s cricket team for the next two years on Saturday, May 13. Grant Bradburn will be the head coach of the team in the Asia Cup 2023, the ODI World Cup 2023, and the T20 World Cup 2024.
Bradburn was part of the Men in Green’s coaching staff in the recently concluded home series against New Zealand, where the hosts won the five-match ODI series 4-1 and drew the five-match T20I series 2-2. He served as the fielding coach for Pakistan for three years before resigning in October 2021.

PCB Management Committee Chairperson Najam Sethi believes that Grant Bradburn can help the team dominate across the formats in international cricket.
“I am delighted to name Grant Bradburn as the head coach of our men’s side. Bradburn joins the side with plethora of coaching experience. After having worked with our men’s side before and at the National Cricket Academy, he understands our culture and philosophy of cricket well and is an ideal candidate to take our team forward,” Najam Sethi said.
“After the announcement of Mickey Arthur as team director, Bradburn’s appointment is another step in our endeavours of putting together a highly qualified coaching panel so our players can benefit from their experiences and dominate world cricket in all three formats,” Sethi added.

Grant Bradburn expressed delight with the appointment as the head coach and said that he would try to create a winning culture in the Pakistan team with the support of Team Director Mickey Arthur.
“It is a great honour for me to work with the highly talented and skilful side like Pakistan as a head coach. We have been working hard on our raising our game and are eager to showcase our growing skills,” Grant Bradburn said.
“Mickey Arthur and I are excited to support, challenge and develop our players. The New Zealand series has been valuable to get game time and create clarity of roles, culture and brand to win,” he added.
PCB have signed a two-year contract with former South African cricketer Andrew Puttick as the batting coach of the men’s side. Strength and conditioning coach Drikus Saaiman and physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon will continue to work in their roles.
