Piyush Chawla congratulated Rohit Sharma on his brilliant knock against Lucknow Super Giants. Eventually, MI ended up losing the match and LSG won it but both teams were eliminated in the tournament.

Piyush Chawla himself took three wickets in the match and enjoyed his former Indian teammate smashing some big hits against LSG. Chawla might likely be released by Mumbai Indians next year with the mega auction lined up.

There are reports that Rohit Sharma might also end his association with Mumbai Indians next year. There have been plenty of videos and images to prove this fact. However, nothing can be confirmed as of now. Rohit was sacked as MI captain before the start of this season and Hardik Pandya was named captain.

Rohit was unhappy with many on-field and off-field decisions of Hardik Pandya. There have been rumors of the two players not being on the same page in the dressing room as well.

Now Piyush Chawla's recent post on Instagram had added fuel to the fire regarding Rohit's future with Mumbai Indians. Rohit was seen to have an animated chat with team co-owner Nita Ambani after the match. His body language proved that he was unhappy with many things that happened within the team this year.

Previously a video footage of his conversation with KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar broke the internet as well. People made multiple assumptions of their conversation within the video. Now Chawlahas shared another image where he said " "Saved the best for the last, One with the Legend @rohitsharma45 ???? #ipl #2024".

Incidentally, after his knock against LSG, Rohit ended the IPL 2024 campaign being the highest run-getter for Mumbai Indians. He ended the season with 417 runs from 14 games at an average of 32.08 and a strike rate of 150. Tilak ended with 416 runs from 13 matches. He was rested in the final league match.

While speaking to Jio Cinema after the match, Rohit reflected on his mindset and how he did not indulge in thinking too much about his dip in form in IPL 2024. "As a batter, I know I didn't live up to the standard. But, after playing for all these years, I know that if I overthink, I won't play well," Rohit said.

Rohit Sharma will now have to shift his focus to the upcoming T20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean. He has spoken repeatedly about winning a few ICC titles for the Indian team during his stint as captain. India lost under his captaincy in the semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against England and the final of the ICC World Cup 2023 against Australia at home.
