India Women’s T20 skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has expressed her excitement ahead of their one-off Test against England this month. Indian women’s team has already left for England to play a one-off red-ball game in Bristol, followed by three Tests and as many ODIs. Harmanpreet Kaur underlined that playing a Test is a challenging prospect, but it’s exhilarating at the same time.

India will also play a pink-ball Test at the WACA later this year against Australia. It would be the women in blue’s first Test in Australia since 2006 and would be looking for redemption after losing the game 15 years ago by an innings and four runs. Mithali Raj, who last played a Test against South Africa in 2014 that ended in a winning effort, will lead her side down under too.

On Sunday, the BCCI unravelled the Indian Women’s team’s jersey, which they would be wearing in the one-off game. Bristol will host the Test, while the same venue will stage one of the three ODIs as well. Taunton and Worcester will play the hosts for the next two ODIs. On the other hand, Northampton, Hove, and Chelmsford will stage the three T20Is.
