Punjab Kings Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2025, Match 13

Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be looking to extend their winning start to the campaign when they take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 13th game of IPL 2025. The game will be PBKS' second of the season and will take place on Tuesday (April 1) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Punjab Kings' campaign under new captain Shreyas Iyer began with a hard-fought 11-run win over IPL 2022 winners Gujarat Titans.

Iyer led his team from the very front as his unbeaten knock of 97 runs helped Punjab Kings post a daunting total of 243/5. PBKS then went on to restrict GT to 232/5 to win the game by five wickets.

On the other hand, their opponents, LSG, have played two games this season. LSG's campaign began with a 1-wicket loss against Delhi Capitals before they beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets to open their account in IPL 2025.

So, as Punjab Kings eye their second win of the season, we are taking a look at the PBKS Playing 11 for their game against LSG.

Openers: Prabhsimran Singh (wk), Priyansh Arya

Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya are set to be the openers in the Punjab Kings' Playing 11 for the upcoming game. The onus will be on senior opener Prabhsimran to ensure that PBKS get off to a good start in the upcoming game.

The right-handed batsman was retained by PBKS, and he will be keen to justify the decision. In the previous game against GT, he struggled to get going and was out for just 5 runs.

On the other hand, Priyansh lived up to the hype with a brilliant knock of 47 runs. The youngster did not show any nerves on his IPL debut as he played some delightful shots. His 47 runs came off just 23 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes.

Middle-order: Shreyas Iyer (c), Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Suryansh Shedge, Azmatullah Omarzai

Shreyas Iyer started his reign as PBKS captain in a stunning fashion. He led his team from the very front and guided them to a thrilling victory. With the bat, Iyer scored an unbeaten 97 and has drawn praise from all around for his unselfish gesture in the last when he did not ask for the strike even though he needed only 3 runs to complete his first ton.

It eventually made the difference as Shashank Singh's explosive batting in the last over helped PBKS earn a thrilling win. Iyer will look to lead his team from the front once again.

Shashank also played a very important knock for PBKS in the last game. He scored an unbeaten 44 from just 16 balls to help his side post a 240-plus total.

Glenn Maxwell, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Marcus Stoinis are set to be the three all-rounders in the PBKS Playing 11. All three players will be eyeing a better display against LSG.

With the bat, Maxwell was out for 0 against GT while Omarzai and Stoinis scored 16 and 20 each. With the ball, Maxwell claimed one wicket while Omarzai and Stoinis went wicketless.

Bowlers: Marco Jansen, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal

The PBKS Playing 11 is likely to have two pacers and one spinner, with the likes of Maxwell, Omarzai, and Stoinis being the other bowling options. Marco Jansen and Arshdeep Singh are set to be the two frontline pacers.

Yuzvendra Chahal will lead the spin attack. Vijaykumar Vyshak is also expected to be used as an impact player.
