Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the 54th match of IPL 2025. The LSG vs PBKS match is scheduled to be played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday (May 4).
With 6 wins from 10 games, Punjab Kings are currently at the third spot in the points table and are looking set to make it to the playoffs for the first time since 2014. A win over LSG will all but seal their passage to the next round.
In their last game, Punjab Kings beat Chennai Super Kings by 4 wickets. After CSK finished their innings on 190, PBKS chased down the total with two balls remaining, thanks to half-centuries from their captain Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh.

Openers: Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh
Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh are set to be the openers in the Punjab Kings Playing 11 for the upcoming match against LSG. The onus will be on the in-form players to give their team a good start in the upcoming match.
In the last game against CSK, Priyansh got the start but could not convert it into a big score. He scored 23 runs before being dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed and will be eyeing a big score in the forthcoming contest.
On the other hand, Prabhsimran scored a fine fifty and will be eyeing another good knock. The right-handed batsman scored 54 runs off 36 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.
The last time PBKS faced LSG, Prabhsimran had scored a match-winning fifty, and they will be hoping their star opener delivers another match-winning performance.

Captain Shreyas Iyer led his team from the very front in the last game against CSK. Chasing down big scores in Chennai has always been a tough task, but he played a match-winning innings to take his team home.
The right-handed batsman scored 72 runs off 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 4 sixes. He will look to lead his team from the front once again.
The likes of Josh Inglis and Nehal Wadhera failed to impress with the bat but are likely to retain their spots in the Punjab Kings Playing 11. Inglis scored 6 while Wadhera was out for just 5, and both batters will be eyeing a big score.
Shashank Singh got the start but could not stay till the end to take his team home, although his cameo put PBKS in the driver's seat. The right-handed batsman scored 23 runs off 12 balls.
Azmatullah Omarzai and Suryansh Shedge are expected to be the two all-rounders in the PBKS Playing 11. While Omarzai did not get the chance to bat in the last game, Shedge could score only 1.
