Former England National Cricket Team player Michael Vaughan has named his Indian XI for the second Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. He also predicted the result of the match, which will be played from 6th December in Adelaide.

The second Test between India and Australia is just one sleep away. The visitors have taken a 1-0 lead in the series following their magnificent performance in the first game at the Optus Stadium in Perth. They won the match by a massive margin of 295 runs under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah.

India played the first game without the services of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. However, these two are likely to be back for the second game, and what has kept many excited is what will be the Indian XI for the second match. Also, one of the things that will be on the notice will be India's batting order.

Skipper Rohit Sharma, ahead of the second Test, mentioned that he won't be changing the opening combination of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal because of the way they batted in Perth. He stressed that he will be batting somewhere in the middle order as they are focused on winning.

I'd be amazed if Ashwin doesn't play - Michael Vaughan

With the match around the corner, Michael Vaughan gave his take on the India XI. He backed KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal to open the innings and believes that Shubman Gill will be back for the team at No.3. The batter missed the last game due to an injury.

Vaughan then picked Virat Kohli at No.4 and said that Rohit Sharma would be batting at No.5, followed by Rishabh Pant at No.6. He also picked Nitish Kumar Reddy at No.7 and backed Ravichandran Ashwin to play, saying that he would be amazed if all-rounder doesn't play.

Vaughan also backed India to keep the pace bowling attack the same as that was in the last match. Speaking on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, he explained:

"I think Rohit will bat in the middle. I think they'll keep the opening combination as was. I mean, KL will play great. So I would think that he'll stay at the top of the order with Yashasvi Jaiswal as well. Shubman will come in at three. Virat will bat four. I think Rohit will come in at five and Rishabh will be six.

"And then seven will be maybe Nitish Reddy. I'd be amazed if Ashwin doesn't play. Ashwin's record in Adelaide is fantastic. So I'd be amazed if he doesn't play. And then, obviously, the seamers will be pretty much the same."

Whoever bats first, I think, will win by 141 runs - Michael Vaughan

Michael Vaughan also went on to predict the result of the match. While calling Australia National Cricket Team the favorites, he said that the team that bats first will win the game by the margin of 141 runs. He added:

"But if that's right that the Australians are the favourites, I'm not sure that the bookies have got that quite right. Whoever bats first, I think, is going to win the game. Whoever bats first, I think, will win by 141 runs."
