Indian team’s new head coach Rahul Dravid is set to play a part in determining whether there needs to be a chance in ODI captaincy as well. For now, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are the T20I and ODI skippers but white-ball split captaincy isn’t something that selectors prefer.

Therefore, the Chetan Sharma-led selection panel will continue to discuss the matter but no official development has been revealed as of yet. According to reports, Dravid is set to have a say in who will be the ODI captain going forward.

The upcoming series against New Zealand is of paramount importance as of now, with Rohit set to go through his first assignment as the full-time T20I skipper. He has previously captained the side, including the famous Nidahas Trophy win back in 2018 in Sri Lanka.
