India captain Virat Kohli came up with a hilarious comment on Ravichandran Ashwin’s recent Instagram post when the off-spinner asked his fans to caption the image.

On Monday, Ashwin posted a photo of him and bowling coach Bharat Arun from Durham, where India has set up their base ahead of the five-Test series against hosts England starting next month. In the picture, the off-spinner is seen to be having a discussion with Arun.

When he posted the image, asking fans to put an apt caption for it, Virat Kohli was quick to comment: “Let me bowl pls paji”.

Team India hit by injuries in England

Even before the Test series has begun, Team India has had three players hit by injuries that have ended their tour. Shubman Gill, Washington Sundar, and Avesh Khan have been ruled of the series; Gill has already returned back home following his leg injury, and Sundar and Khan, both of whom sustained injuries in the warm-up game, will also come back to India soon.

Not only that, skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane are recovering from a stiff back and swelling in the left hamstring respectively which rendered them unfit for the practice match last week. In Virat Kohli’s absence, Rohit Sharma led the Indians in the warm-up match against County Select XI.

Thankfully, Rahane returned to training recently, and the niggles are believed to not hamper his or Virat Kohli’s inclusion in the first Test starting August 4th at Trent Bridge.

Batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran, who was in the reserves in England, has been promoted to the main squad. However, in Gill’s absence, Mayank Agarwal is likely to open alongside Rohit Sharma.
