India National Cricket Team off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has named his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI. The senior player picked Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni as the captain of the team named by him.

Ravichandran Ashwin went on to pick Rohit Sharma as the opener of the team. The Mumbai Indians batter is one of the leading run-getters in the league and also has helped the team win five titles in the history of the league.

Along with Rohit, Ravichandran Ashwin picked Virat Kohli as the second opener. The India batter has had a huge success for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. He is the only player in the tournament with over 8000 runs to his name along with the most tons in the league.

Mr. IPL, Suresh Raina, was backed by Ashwin to bat at No.3. The left-hander has been one of the major factors behind Chennai Super Kings being the successful franchise in the league. He is one of the few batters in the tournament with over 5000 runs to his name.

Ashwin then went on to pick Suryakumar Yadav as the No.4 batter in his all-time IPL XI. The Mumbai Indians batter is currently the top T20 batter in the world and has made a massive impact in the league. In the 150 games, he has amassed around 3600 runs in the tournament.

Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter AB de Villiers, who has been amongst the best overseas batters in IPL, will be batting at No.5 in the all-time IPL XI of Ashwin. He slammed over 5000 runs in the tournament and also hit three tons in the league.

MS Dhoni will be the captain and wicketkeeper of the team. The former India captain guided Chennai Super Kings to five titles in the league and has made them the joint most successful franchise in the league. Apart from that he has been the best keeper in the league along with his batting prowess down the order.

In the spin bowling department, Ashwin went with two overseas names. He picked Rashid Khan and Sunil Narine in the team. The duo arguably have been the best spinners in the league and have troubled the batting lineups of many teams.

Ashwin went on to pick three pacers in his team. He backed Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the new ball bowler in his side. The India pacer has won the purple cap two consecutive times in the league and has picked 181 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah, who is touted as the best India pacer, also has been named in Ashwin in his team. The fast bowler has been the biggest reason for Mumbai Indians' success in the league. Alongside him, Ravichandran Ashwin picked Lasith Malinga, who is called an IPL legend.
