Ravichandran Ashwin publicly told to leave CSK immediately

Ravichandran Ashwin was live streaming on his YouTube channel, and a fan told him to leave his beloved Chennai Super Kings.
Ashwin addressed the question of the fan on the live segment and said he will come back stronger in the next season.

Ravichandran Ashwin was live streaming on his YouTube channel with two panellists on Tuesday. The panel was discussing the ongoing IPL season, and then a fan commented on the live session.
The fan wrote, “Hi dear Ashwin, with lots of love, please leave my lovely CSK family.” Ashwin didn’t ignore the question and addressed the issue in the live video that he knows, his performance in the IPL 2025 was not up to the mark at all.
Ashwin vowed to the fan that he’ll come back strong in the next season and will improve his performance in IPL 2026. The off-spinner knew what areas he had to work on and what mistakes he had made this season.
"One thing that I can relate to is his love for the franchise. Let's not make one mistake. When you say something, please make sure that you're doing it in your best interest. I understand what you're trying to say. I also have the same love and interest. Don't think that I'm going to let this campaign go to waste. What I have in my controllables. If you give the ball in my hand, I will bowl, if you give bat, then I will bat.” Ashwin stated in the live session.
Ravichandran Ashwin's IPL 2025 performance
Ravichandran Ashwin played only nine matches this season and picked up just seven wickets at an average of 40.42. Ashwin’s economy was also high in this season as he conceded runs with an economy of 9.12.
Ashwin didn’t perform with the bat either and made just 33 runs this season. CSK bought him for a whopping price of INR 9.75 crore.
"I have qualified with CSK for the playoffs in the past. I have won the title. So, when I see a champion like this, I feel sad for the first time. I feel sad about that. That's why I'm sitting in a corner and crying. What to do next? This is my goal," Ashwin added.
Will CSK retain Ravichandran Ashwin?
It will be a tough decision for CSK to retain Ashwin ahead of the next season, as Ashwin was bought for a whopping price, and with his age as another factor, CSK will look to take a call on him.
Ashwin was also used as the impact player also but couldn’t contribute to the team. CSK have many players in mind to decide whether to release them or not.
