Ravichandran Ashwin thanks this Indian player after Man of the Match performance in Chennai Test

Ravichandran Ashwin won the Player of the Match award in IND vs BAN 1st Test for his amazing batting and bowling show in the match. After winning the award, Ashwin said batting is something that comes naturally to him.
Ravichandran Ashwin gave a stunning show with both bat and bowl to emerge a clear contender to win the POTM match award in India vs Bangladesh 1st Test. The right-handed batsman slammed a century of 113 runs in the 1st innings to help India post a powerful total.
He went wicketless in the 1st innings but bounced back in the 2nd innings. The right-arm spinner captured a 6-wicket haul in the second innings to help India bowl out Bangladesh batters.
Batting comes naturally to me: Ravichandran Ashwin
After winning the Player of the Match award for his exciting show with both bat and ball, Ravichandran Ashwin said batting is something that comes naturally to him. He also thanked Ravindra Jadeja for supporting him while batting.
"Every time I play in Chennai, it's an amazing feeling for me. I have watched a lot of Test cricket and international cricket sitting in those stands. I am probably enjoying my play because of what I am doing", the right-handed batsman said.
"It was an opportunity to fight and dig in deep. I kept it simple, have to thank Jadeja who helped me. Quite a special knock, didn't sink in till day two", the Indian all-rounder added.
"I make a living by bowling. Bowling comes first. Batting is something that comes naturally. Over the last few years, I have tried to compartmentalize", Ashwin further added.

India defeats Bangladesh by 280 runs
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma-led Indian Team defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the 1st Test. Batting first, India piled up 376-10 in 1st innings with a century by Ashwin and 86 by Ravindra Jadeja.
Later, they bundled out Bangladesh for just 149 with a 4-wicket haul. Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant helped India to post 287-4 in the 2nd innings with their respective centuries.
India kept a gigantic total of 515 for Bangladesh in the final innings. The visitors were helpless and were bowled out for just 234 runs in the final innings, losing the game by 280 runs.
With the victory, India also retained their top spot in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 points table. India has a win percentage of 71+ and holds the peak position in the table.
They will play one more Test against Bangladesh in the ongoing series. The India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test 2024 commences on September 27 at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
