Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has responded to former skipper Kapil Dev’s remarks of Indian players becoming arrogant. Kapil Dev’s comments came after India lost the second ODI against West Indies on July 29.
This was India’s first ODI loss to West Indies since December 2019 and that the loss came against an inexperienced West Indies side made it a big headline. India were bowled out for 181 in the second ODI with West Indies winning the match inside 37 overs by six wickets to spare.

He also blasted the young players for not talking to Sunil Gavaskar despite their batting weakness in the series. Meanwhile, Jadeja ahead of the third ODI responded to Kapil’s allegations in the pre-match press conference before the third ODI.

Everyone Has Their Own Opinion: Ravindra Jadeja On Kapil Dev’s Remarks
“I didn’t know when he said this. I don’t search too many things on social media. Everyone has their own opinion. It’s nothing like that. Everybody is enjoying their game and working hard. Players are not taking their place in the team for granted. Whenever they are getting chances, they are giving their 100 percent and trying to win games for India,” Jadeja replied.
“Such questions crop up when India loses a game. Nobody is arrogant. Everybody is representing India. We are working hard and playing for the country. There is no personal agenda,” he added further.
Jadeja further said that being one of the senior players in the side, he is looking to perform in the upcoming big tournament like the Asia Cup and the World Cup.
“Obviously there is responsibility. Performing in a major tournament is a dream of any player. The Asia Cup and World Cup are coming up. I will keep working hard and try to improve in areas where I can do better. I will also work on my fitness so that on the ground I can give my 100 percent. I will definitely take the responsibility that the team has given me” the Indian all-rounder said.
The final IND vs WI ODI will be played on August 1 followed by a five-match T20I series starting from August 3.
