The 14th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to see a high-octane battle between the Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Shubman Gill-led Gujarat Titans (GT).
The game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the Gujarat Titans is being hosted by the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, April 2.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are high on confidence heading into the match as they beat both Kolkata Knight Riders and the Chennai Super Kings away from home.
However, their return to Chinnaswamy Stadium poses a familiar challenge of how can they end their home-ground woes. They have a sub-50% win record in Bengaluru, which is not good, but RCB have tried to address this by investing heavily in their bowling department.
Currently, they are ruling the IPL 2025 standings, sitting at the top of the table with a Net Run Rate of 2.266, and would want to continue their winning streak.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, started off their campaign with an 11-run defeat against the Punjab Kings but quickly bounced back by registering a dominant 36-run win against the Mumbai Indians.
Talking about the head-to-head records, RCB are leading with 3-2 over GT in the 5 IPL matches. After the match against GT, RCB will play against Mumbai Indians on April 7 and against Delhi Capitals on April 10. GT, meanwhile, will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 6 and Rajasthan Royals on April 9.
IPL 2025: GT win the toss and opt to bowl
Speaking after winning the toss, GT skipper Shubman Gill said that they made the decision to bowl first because the pitch doesn't change much. He also revealed that Kagiso Rabada would miss the match due to personal reasons. He said:
"We will bowl first as we have seen the conditions don't change much. [On personal form] Looks to be in good touch. Hopefully I'll be able to make a big one tonight."
Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru RCB skipper Rajat Patidar revealed that they also wanted to bowl first. He said:
"Would've bowled first as well because it's a new surface. It's pretty hard and won't change much. The way boys are chipping in gives a lot of confidence as a captain. We love this crowd. The way they love us and the support we've always received is incredible. Same team."
