Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have officially revealed the list of impact players that they have nominated for the 48th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is hosting the match between the Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals and the Ajinkya Rahane-led Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday, April 29.

Delhi Capitals started the tournament with a bang as they snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat and then registered three more wins on the trot to climb to the top of the IPL 2025 points table.
Since then, Delhi Capitals have blown hot and cold and they have suffered three losses in their last five matches, and it could have been four, had Mitchell Starc not shown his bowling prowess in the death as well as super over against the Rajasthan Royals.
Just like Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals have struggled a lot at their real home as they have faced two defeats in three matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Even after their poor performances in the last few matches, they find themselves in the top four and are one of the favorites to finish in the top two when the league stage is over.
The same, however, cannot be said for their opponents Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR have not played like defending champions despite having retained their core from the triumphant campaign.
They had an inconsistent start to their campaign, winning three and losing three, but after that, they faced two back-to-back losses, and their previous match was washed out due to rain.
KKR currently occupy the seventh spot on the IPL 2025 points table with 7 points in 9 matches. Ajinkya Rahane's team will be hoping for a turnaround away from home, as a loss here would all but end their hopes for a top-four finish.
They will once again back their bowlers to do a good job and hope for a better outing from the batting unit, which has been the main reason behind their IPL 2025 struggles with the openers yet to build a half-century partnership.
Talking about the IPL head-to-head record, the Kolkata Knight Riders have an 18-15 lead over Delhi Capitals. However, things have looked different since 2022, with DC having a 3-2 lead.
IPL 2025: DC win the toss and opt to bowl
After winning the toss, DC captain Axar Patel said that they will chase because batting becomes easier in the second innings. He said:
"We will field first, it becomes easier to bat in the second innings because of the dew."
Meanwhile, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane said that reading the wicket is a tough job and confirmed Anukul Roy's inclusion in the playing XI. He said:
"We have one change, Anukul Roy comes in. It's hard to read the wicket."
