Revealed: Who are the Impact Players nominated for RCB vs PBKS match 34 of IPL 2025?

The 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is seeing a battle between the Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Friday, April 18.

The list of Impact Players nominated by both the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru has officially been revealed.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings are riding on the same boat in the ongoing edition of the tournament. Both of them have won 4 out of 6 matches and are currently placed third and fourth on the points table.

The winner of this high-profile match will move up to ten points and level with Delhi Capitals, who are at the top before they play each other again on Sunday afternoon in New Chandigarh.

RCB, although are having a good run in IPL 2025, they aren't enjoying home comforts yet. All four of their wins in the competition have come away from home, and at home, they have faced back-to-back losses.

Punjab Kings also have some issues in the squad, but have plenty of backup options, which makes things easier for the duo of Shreyas Iyer and Ricky Ponting.

As RCB and PBKS clash, some new loyalties will be seen. Former RCB all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and pacer Vyshak Vijaykumar are now with Punjab Kings, while Jitesh Sharma is now with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Another ex-RCB star with Team PBKS is the veteran leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, who has taken 52 wickets at the Chinnaswamy.

Talking about the head-to-head record, Punjab Kings hold a slight edge of 17-16 over the Royal Challengers Bengaluru despite the latter winning the last three matches on the trot.

IPL 2025: Punjab Kings win the toss and opt to field

Speaking after winning the toss, Shreyas Iyer said that they want to chase because they will get to know more about the pitch after the first innings. He said:

"We will bowl first. It's a good ground to chase and it's a rain interrupted game, overs have been reduced, will have a fair idea of how the wicket will play and that was always the pln. Stoinis comes in for Maxwell and Harpreet Brar is in. We need to have the right players at the right place, especially the angles."

Meanwhile, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar wanted his team to be smart and adapt to conditions quickly. He said:

"We have to be smart in adapting to the conditions, we'll try our best. A bit sticky, but the surface looks hard, we will put up a good total on the board. Same team, but I'm confused with the impact player."
