Revealed: Why are RCB players wearing special jersey in their last league match of IPL 2025?

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Lucknow Super Giants in their last league stage game at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on May 27.

RCB have planned to wear a special jersey featuring the autographs from fans. This will be RCB’s collaboration with JioStar to wear the special jersey.

Why are RCB wearing an autograph jersey?

RCB are collaborating with Jio Star to show the love and gratitude towards their fans as they will wear the unique jersey with autographs of fans on it in their last league game against LSG.

“RCB and Jio Star gave fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have their autographs featured on our player jerseys, and over 100,000 of you showed up for it! Our stars are proud to wear your names, carrying your love and passion with them. Here’s a heartfelt thank you from the team, straight to the 12th Man Army," said RCB and Jio Star in a joint statement issued on Twitter with a special video ahead of the match against the Lucknow Super Giants.

In the video, RCB players were seen revealing the signed jersey and gear. They thanked the fans and felt happy to receive the love from their 12th member.

Virat Kohli was seen urging fans to come on board and gave their autograph on the special jersey. Kohli thanked the crowd and also stated that they are giving autographs from 18 seasons, but now they will be receiving autographs from the fans for the first time.

“Pichle 18 saal se hum autograph dete aye hain. Par ab hume autograph chahiye iss jersey par (for the last 18 years, we’ve been giving away the autographs. But now, we want the fans to give their autographs on this jersey)," Kohli had said in the promo, leading to a count of 100,000 fans and more sending their signatures for the new RCB jersey.

RCB's special jersey

RCB have the most loyal fans in the IPL, and they look to do something special for the fans every year. RCB are the first team to introduce the special jersey as they launched the green jersey to initiate Go Green.

The Bengaluru team wore the green jersey against the Rajasthan Royals this season, and now, in the final game, they will wear another special jersey with the digital signature of the fans.

RCB final league stage match

RCB will play their final league stage match against LSG, and this will be their most important match this season before the playoffs.

If RCB beat LSG, then they finish the league stage at the top of the table and will play the Qualifier 1 against Punjab Kings.

If Patidar and co. lose the match against LSG, they will go to Mullanpur to face Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator on May 30.
