India National Cricket Team off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin came up with massive praise for Rishabh Pant after his performance with the bat in the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. He said that his comeback to Test Cricket after the accident was god-sent.

The first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team marked the return of Rishabh Pant to Test cricket. The keeper-batter made his comeback for the team in whites after almost 700 days and made sure that he made an immediate impact with the bat for his team.

Rishabh Pant, in the first innings, played a vital role for his team. The keeper-batter came to bat after the India National Cricket Team lost early wickets and he made sure that he held the fort for his team. He played a vital innings of 39 runs that brought Team back on the track.

But his best came in the second innings as he came up with a magical effort with the bat and brought smiles to the faces of almost every Indian fan. The keeper-batter produced an attacking innings and made sure that he took his team to the big total on the board at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Rishabh Pant, who came to bat at No.5, slammed a sensational century and made a mockery of the Bangladesh bowlers. The keeper-batter scored 109 runs off 128 balls. The Southpaw slammed 13 fours and 4 sixes in his innings that helped India post a target of 515 runs on the board.

Rishabh Pant, along with Shubman Gill (119*), took the game away from Bangladesh. They added 167 runs for the 4th wicket that outplayed the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. Not only with his batting, but the southpaw was also magnificent with the gloves behind the stumps.

Ravichandran Ashwin talked about the comeback of Rishabh Pant, saying that his form and ability were never questioned. He said that the keeper-batter didn't feel any pressure and mentioned that he was never in doubt of his comeback. Speaking to press-conference, he explained:

"I don't think Rishabh's form and ability were ever questioned. It's the way he came back and put himself out there that is miraculous, which is probably God-sent,"

"I didn't think he felt any pressure. He is entertaining and will only get better. He never lacked any confidence, and he will always have the backing of the team. I was never in doubt of his comeback."

Ravichandran Ashwin won the Man of the Match award in the first Test against Bangladesh. He hit a staggering ton with the bat in the first innings as he slammed 113 runs and, after that, in the second innings, oozed his class with the ball. The off-spinner picked 6 wickets with the ball to help his team win the game.
