Young Indian all-rounder Riyan Parag made sensational comments about Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and the video spread across social media platforms. Riyan Parag stated that he would love to quiet down the Royal Challengers Bengaluru crowd in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Riyan Parag delivered an impressive batting performance in the IPL 2024 season. The right-handed batter scored 573 runs for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 15 matches at a strike rate close to 150. He smashed four half-centuries with a best score of 84*. He was rewarded with his maiden call-up to the Indian team.

Young opening batter Shubman Gill was named captain of the second-string squad for the five-match series against Zimbabwe. According to the latest news reports, Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag are likely to make their international debuts. Parag is expected to bat at number four position in the batting order.

They've Just A Big Fan Base - Riyan Parag

In a viral video, Riyan Parag was asked which team he loves to play against in the IPL. Parag stated that he loves to play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The all-rounder expressed satisfaction in quieting down RCB's large fan base, recalling the "Eliminator" match between the two teams in the IPL 2024.

"Which IPL team do you love to play against?" the anchor asked.

"RCB. They've just a big fan base. Wherever we go, they've got a bigger fan base, and it's always nice to quiet down the crowd and everyone. Even in the qualifier that we played, literally, out of 80,000 people, 70,000 of them were RCB fans. We won the game, and everything was quiet. I love that," Parag said.

Riyan Parag debuted in the IPL in 2019 with promising performances, scoring 160 runs at an average of 32 and a strike rate of 126.98. However, his form dipped in the next season, amassing 86 runs in 12 matches at an average of 12.28. The young batter faced criticism until his resurgence in the recent IPL season.

Rajasthan Royals Beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru In IPL 2024 Eliminator

Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by four wickets in the IPL 2024 Eliminator at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the world's largest stadium by seating capacity, in Ahmedabad. The Sanju Samson-led team advanced to Qualifier 2, while the Bengaluru team was eliminated from the tournament.

The Royal Challengers started the IPL 2024 poorly with seven losses in their first eight matches. They made an impressive comeback with six consecutive wins to qualify for the playoffs. However, the Faf du Plessis-led team's campaign ended when Rajasthan Royals defeated them in the knockout match.

The Royals successfully chased down the target of 173 runs with four overs and six balls to spare. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45 runs, and Riyan Parag added 36 runs. The partnership between Parag and Shimron Hetmyer (26) proved crucial, and Rovman Powell sealed the match with a six off Lockie Ferguson.
