Riyan Parag delivered an impressive batting performance in the IPL 2024 season. The right-handed batter scored 573 runs for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in 15 matches at a strike rate close to 150. He smashed four half-centuries with a best score of 84*. He was rewarded with his maiden call-up to the Indian team.
Young opening batter Shubman Gill was named captain of the second-string squad for the five-match series against Zimbabwe.
